About the Role
Customer Service:
- Greet customers with a friendly attitude as they enter the shop.
- Take customer orders, ensuring accuracy in their preferences and specifications.
- Answer questions about menu items, ingredients, and allergen information.
- Handle customer complaints or concerns professionally and seek resolution.
Food Preparation and Assembly:
- Assemble bagel sandwiches or spreads according to customer requests, paying attention to portion sizes.
- Toast or heat bagels and sandwich ingredients to perfection.
- Handle food items safely and follow health and safety guidelines.
Cash Handling and Register Operations:
- Operate cash registers, handle cash, credit cards, and other payment methods accurately.
- Provide correct change and issue receipts to customers.
- Keep track of sales, and assist in opening and closing cash registers.
Maintaining Cleanliness:
- Keep the dining area and service counter clean and organized.
- Regularly clean and sanitize food preparation areas, utensils, and equipment.
- Monitor and restock condiments, napkins, and other supplies as needed.
- Ensure the overall cleanliness and hygiene of the bagel shop.
Efficiency and Speed:
- Work efficiently during busy periods to minimize customer wait times.
- Prepare orders accurately and promptly without sacrificing quality.
Flexibility:
-Be willing to cross-train in various roles within the shop as needed.
-Adapt to changes in the work environment or menu.
Requirements
At least one year of experience in fast food
Excellent customer service skills
Strong work ethic and good attitude
